How it Began: When we arrived in the Philippines, we prayed for God to lead us to an area that had no Bible-believing churches yet. God answered that prayer and led us to the people of Bolosan, who seemed as if they had been waiting for us. We began our work through the children. The children’s ministry started off with a bang, and we continue to have way more than 100 children on the weekends. The Adult Bible Study was started in our living room with only 2 ladies. Through much hard work and the grace of God, it began to grow. We outgrew our living room for a tent in the back yard. After 2 years, we finally found a building to rent. Then we bought property and renovated an old storage building. Today we have a beautiful church building, Lighthouse Baptist Church, thanks to our faithful supporters and the labor of our members.

Current Ministry: Now that we have our own church building, our people are now tithing and being trained to fill all the responsbilities of our church. Classes are now taught by our Philippine members.

We still can’t believe how hungry the Bolosan people are for the Gospel ,as our church membership has grown incredibly. Our converts faithfully soul-win each week, which has brought in many more people. We are so excited that members of our church are now involved in leadership roles, giving their lives to Jesus Christ to preach the Gospel, and become missionaries themselves.

Our Future: The heartbeat of our lives is to share the precious love of Jesus Christ throughout the Philippines. Since Bolosan is spiritually a very dark and sinful place, our church members decided to name our church, pictured at the left, Lighthouse Baptist Church. We thank the Lord, our supporters and church members for this beautiful new church. This is only the beginning, though, as our missionaries begin church planting.

We are continually holding leadership classes and individual studies, preparing our church members to share the light of the Gospel, individually and through church planting. The work the Lord has established here in Boloson will be multiplied many times over throughout the Philippines.
